Max Verstappen will be hoping to come out on top during the third free practice session at the Belgian Grand Prix.
It has been a topsy-turvy weekend at Spa-Francorchamps already, with the Dutchman comfortably ahead during FP1 – beating Oscar Piastri by over half a second.
McLaren recovered during FP2, with Lando Norris leading his team-mate in a one-two for the Papaya squad.
FP3 provides the teams a final opportunity to get into shape ahead of this afternoon’s qualifying. Verstappen can only hope for a P11 start at best, with the Dutchman awarded a 10-place grid drop for a power unit change.
He will be hoping to work his way through the pack in order to minimise any damage to his drivers’ championship lead – will he be able to do it?
the last hour of practice may go some way to determining how things go for the 26-year-old on Sunday.
