Verstappen Faces Uphill Battle in Spa Free Practice

Max Verstappen will be hoping to come out on top during the third free practice session at the Belgian Grand Prix.
It has been a topsy-turvy weekend at Spa-Francorchamps already, with the Dutchman comfortably ahead during FP1 – beating Oscar Piastri by over half a second.
McLaren recovered during FP2, with Lando Norris leading his team-mate in a one-two for the Papaya squad.
FP3 provides the teams a final opportunity to get into shape ahead of this afternoon’s qualifying. Verstappen can only hope for a P11 start at best, with the Dutchman awarded a 10-place grid drop for a power unit change.
He will be hoping to work his way through the pack in order to minimise any damage to his drivers’ championship lead – will he be able to do it?
the last hour of practice may go some way to determining how things go for the 26-year-old on Sunday.
